§ 1 Collection and storage of personal data
Personal data is individual information about the personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person, such as your name, address, telephone number, date of birth, bank details and IP address.
When you use our websites, the following data is logged, whereby the storage is used exclusively for internal system-related and statistical purposes: names of the pages accessed, the browser used, the operating system and the requesting domain, date and time of access, search engines used, names of downloaded files and your IP address. All usage data, in particular your IP address, will be deleted after expiry of the statutory periods at the latest.
Further personal information is only collected if you provide it to us voluntarily, for example as part of an enquiry or registration.
We require your registration to use our Internet portal. All data that we require to fulfil and process orders will be requested: Your full name or your full company name together with the person of the authorised representative(s), your e-mail address, your address (billing address and, if applicable, different delivery address) and, if applicable, your telephone number (e.g. if it is necessary to coordinate a delivery date at short notice). You must also choose a user name and password, both of which make it easier for you to log in without having to re-enter your data. We store the data you enter to set up a customer account, which we use to record, fulfil and process your orders. We will retain your data for further orders (registration) as long as you maintain your registration. You have the right to access, correct and delete your registration data at any time. We will delete your registration with us in accordance with the statutory provisions.
Handling of applicant data: Applicant data is only stored by us for the application process and then deleted in accordance with legal requirements.
§ 2 Use, disclosure and deletion of personal data
We use the personal data provided by you to answer your enquiries, to process your order and for the purpose of technical administration of the website.
Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary for the purpose of processing the contract or for billing purposes or for the collection of payment or if you have expressly consented to this. It may also be necessary for us to pass on your address and order data to suppliers if the delivery is made directly to you ex works. Our suppliers only receive the information that is necessary to fulfil their respective tasks. Any other use of the information is not permitted. We are also authorised to pass on personal data for debt collection purposes. If we make advance payments in connection with an order (e.g. when purchasing on account), we can only have the identity and creditworthiness of customers checked by a service provider.
Furthermore, we do not rule out the possibility of transmitting anonymised usage data for market research purposes. The identification of users is excluded.
We would like to point out that we are entitled to provide information about data in individual cases by order of the competent authority, insofar as this is necessary for the purposes of criminal prosecution, to avert danger by the police authorities of the federal states, to fulfil the statutory tasks of the federal and state constitution protection authorities, the Federal Intelligence Service or the Military Counter-Intelligence Service or to enforce intellectual property rights.
§ 3 Safety instructions
We have taken a variety of security measures to protect personal information to an appropriate extent and adequately.
Our databases are protected by physical, technical and procedural measures that restrict access to the information to specifically authorised individuals in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Our information system is located behind a software firewall to prevent access from other networks connected to the Internet. Only employees who need the information to fulfil a specific task are granted access to personal information. Our employees are trained in security and privacy practices.
When personal information is collected through our websites, the transmission is encrypted using industry standard Secure Socket Layer („SSL“) technology. Sensitive information, such as credit card numbers or account information, is encrypted for further protection.
You should never disclose your password for accessing our website to third parties and you should change this password regularly. When you have left our pages, you should log out and close your browser to prevent unauthorised users from gaining access to your user account. We cannot guarantee complete data security when communicating by e-mail.
§ 4 Cookies, web analysis tools and social plug-ins
„Cookies“ are small files that enable us to store specific information relating to you on your PC while you are visiting our website. Cookies help us to determine the frequency of use and the number of users of our website, as well as to make our services as secure, convenient and efficient as possible for you.
On the one hand, we use so-called „session cookies“, which are only stored temporarily for the duration of your use of one of our websites. On the other hand, we use „permanent cookies“ to store information about computers that repeatedly access our website. This enables us to offer you optimum user guidance, as well as to „recognise“ you and present you with a website that is as varied as possible and new content on repeated use. The content of a permanent cookie is limited to an identification number. The period of validity of a permanent cookie is 60 days; after this 60-day period, the cookie is automatically deleted. Your name, IP address or other details about your real identity are not stored, nor do we create individual profiles about your user behaviour.
It is also possible to use our website without cookies. You can deactivate the storage of cookies in your browser, restrict it to certain websites or set your browser so that it notifies you as soon as a cookie is sent. You can also delete cookies from your PC's hard drive at any time. Please note, however, that in this case you must expect a limited display of our website and limited user guidance.
We use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc (hereinafter „Google“). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of our website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, due to the activation of IP anonymisation on our website, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Google will use this information on our behalf to analyse your use of our website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other Google data. You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser, however please note that if you do this you may not be able to use the full functionality of our website. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of our website (including your IP address) and from processing this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link:

§ 6 Right of appeal
Every data subject has the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if he or she considers that the processing of data relating to him or her infringes data protection regulations. The right to lodge a complaint may be exercised in particular with a supervisory authority in the Member State of the data subject's habitual residence or place of the alleged infringement.
§ 7 Rights of the data subject
Data subjects have the right to obtain information from the controller about the personal data concerning them and to have incorrect data corrected or deleted if one of the reasons stated in Art. 17 GDPR applies, e.g. if the data is no longer required for the purposes pursued. There is also the right to restriction of processing if one of the conditions specified in Art. 18 GDPR applies and, in the cases of Art. 20 GDPR, the right to data portability. If data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. e (data processing for the fulfilment of official tasks or to protect the public interest) or lit. f (data processing to safeguard legitimate interests), the data subject has the right to object to the processing at any time for reasons arising from their particular situation. We will then no longer process the personal data unless there are demonstrably compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
